Student Affairs
More than ever before, students are approaching college seeking more than simply a degree. Instead, students and educators have come to view college as a holistic and transformational experience in which students mature into capable practitioners as well as well-rounded adults.
At Oakland, we are committed to providing experiential learning to accomplish just that. In addition to top-notch instruction and leading research, Oakland University’s rich array of student life opportunities are a key component of the distinct education we provide our students. Including everything from student clubs, health and counseling services, and tutoring to housing, dining, and university recreation, Student Affairs and Diversity encompasses all aspects of student life at Oakland University.
As part of the Aspire. Advance. Achieve. Campaign for Oakland University, we have identified several key initiatives that will transform Oakland University’s services and amenities that complement our students’ work in the classroom and empower them to succeed.
Fundraising priorities include:
- Career Connections Hub
- Center for Student Activities and Leadership Development
- Counseling Center
- Disability Support Services
- Diversity and Center of Multicultural Initiatives
- Enrollment Management
- Graham Health Center (Awareness and Assessment)
- Housing
- Veterans Support Services
